Travel Grants for Using Mass Transit
The WPSA Mass Transit Travel Grant Program was created to promote and encourage low-carbon forms of travel to the WPSA's annual conference. Flying to and from academic conferences increases the greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming. Bus and train travel causes significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions. The reimbursement is designed to help lower the association’s climate impact and to encourage more climate-friendly travel.
If you are coming from Orange County or further north to attend the 2026 conference in San Diego, we encourage you to take the train. It is a beautiful ride along the oceanfront. Plus, the San Diego train station is just a few-minute walk from the conference hotel.
Funding Amount
Reimbursement is available up to $250.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: January 31
