Community Focus and Purpose
The WPSA Virtual Community on Education Politics and Policy is a space for scholars of education politics and policy to share their work and learn about developments in the field. We welcome scholars in political science, education, and other disciplines who focus on education politics and policy in the U.S. and beyond and who use a variety of methodological approaches. We seek to add to existing spaces (like the APSA Education Politics and Policy Section) and provide a regular forum for scholars to meet each other, read each other's work, and provide feedback. We believe that through the Virtual Community, we will help cultivate the success of scholars in this field and grow our community.
Types of Events Planned
We will hold virtual workshops where attendees will read 1 or 2 papers and provide feedback.
How to Join this Virtual Community
Regular WPSA membership dues include participation in the Virtual Communities program along with discounted registration fees to WPSA’s in-person conference, subscriptions to its two journals, and eligibility to participate in all other WPSA activities. For scholars and students who are interested in participating only in the Virtual Communities, WPSA offers a limited membership that does not include any other benefits. We encourage everyone who can to join WPSA as a full member to help sustain the Association.
